How to review generator documents before an order
Match generator documentation to the model, configuration and destination market before confirming an order.
Request documents against a specific model and configuration. A certificate image or a document for a different engine or product version does not, by itself, establish coverage for the generator you intend to order.
Prepare a document request
- Generator and engine model, where applicable.
- Voltage, frequency, phase and intended configuration.
- Destination country and the buyer's required standards or documents.
- Purpose of the review, such as an importer assessment or retail-channel listing.
Compare the identifiers
Check the issuing organisation, applicant or manufacturer name, document number, model list, scope, issue date and any stated validity conditions. Ask for clarification if the quotation model is not clearly covered.
Distinguish product and company documents
A quality-management document concerns the stated organisation and scope. Product or engine documents concern their listed products and configurations. Review each document for its own purpose rather than treating all documents as interchangeable.
Confirm requirements for the destination
